Atsuka's white hair swished about her shoulders as she exited the town, new pokemon in hand, with a definate bounce in her step. "Oh, how exciting!" She said out loud. "Finally! Finally I could get my own!" She rubbed the pokeball against her cheek. "And it's a wonderful, rare, fire dragon tyyyyyypppe!" She looked down at the ball with a smile. "Should I let you out now, or wait till I see a wild pokemon?" She wondered. Then, with a shrug, she opened the pokeball, letting the fire pokemon out. The Flartini looked up at her and made a sort of squealing noise that could have been hello. "Aaaaahhh!" Atsuka squealed, grinning like a crazy person. "You're so cute, Enryu!" She reached a hand out to pat it.

Route 1 was empty of Pokemon at that moment. Or it would have been if a Teddiursa hadn't fallen out of a tree. The small bear-like Pokemon definately got up and tried to climb the tree again but ended up falling back to the ground. The Pokemon was too fixed on it's task to notice anyone nearby.

Atsuka spent a few more minutes examining her first pokemon, ignoring the Teddiursa. "Okay, should we go?" She said to Enryu. "You should get back in your pokeball, or you'll get all dirty on this road." She hugged the pokemon. "If you're anything like your water element cousin Dratini, when you evolve, you'll be able to fly! Won't that be awsome?"
With a happy sounding squeal from Enryu, Atsuka turned and was about to return him to his pokeball when she noticed the Teddiursa. "Oh! Hang on, a Teddiursa!" She blinked. Why not? And it was a good chance to get Enryu some experience. "Enryu! Lets get some experience points! Use ember on that Teddiursa!"

The Teddiursa wasn't expecting for someone to attack it so it couldn't dodge the attack. With a surprised cry it was hit. Getting back up it use Fake Tears.
(user's attacks are raised by 2; Hp 4/9)
[Don't forget to post how much damage your attack does; and how much Hp your Pokemon has]

[Oh, right. ^^' ]
"Aw, we made it cry!" Atsuka squealed, feeling sorry for the little thing. Cut her some slack; it was her first pokemon battle. Enryu made a noise that could have been a cough, and looked up at his dopey trainer. "Eh? Oh, right." She thingyed her head to one side. "Maybe... use Wrap this time!" Enryu slithered forward to curl itself around the small bear.
(Dmg: 3 (I think) HP: 10/10)

The Teddiursa was tightly wrapped by Enryu. But that didn't stop it from using Scratch on it's attacker.
(dmg. 3+2=5; Hp 1/9)

Enryu squealed as the Teddiursa's claws raked across it's body, and Atsuka was suddenly less than sympathestic towards the creature. "Hey!" She shouted, jabbing a finger in the pokemon's direction. "That's not nice, Teddiursa!" She whipped out a pokeball. "See how you like being inside a pokeball! Hiyaa!" She pegged the ball at the Teddiursa with all her strength, and Enryu had to duck his head to avoid being nailed in the head with it.
[I'm confused. *points* That dmg that you've put is what the opponent took, right? How much damage should Enryu take?]

[The damage in the paranthesis is how much damage a Pokemon's attack does to the other Pokemon. Example: (dmg.3) The defending Pokemon recieves 3 dmg from the other Pokemon's attack. Hope that helps clear it up. ^^] The Teddiursa looked questionally at the Pokeball as it hit's head. Immediately the Pokemon was sucked into the Pokeball. You've caught a Teddiursa! Name: Your Choice Gender: Male Level: 4 HP: 9 Attacks: Fake Tears-user's attacks are raised by 2, Scratch-3, Lick-4; opponent is now Paralyzed, Covet-takes opponent's held item; returns to original owner at end of battle. And Enryu gains 1 Level and 1 HP.

Enryu sighed lightly as the Teddiursa vanished into the Pokeball, but then was suddenly glomped by Atsuka. "Enryu!" She squealed, rubbing her cheek against her pokemon's. "You were awesome! And now I have two wonderful pokemon!" She let go of Enryu and sat beside him. "I think we'll call this Teddiursa 'Kuma', What do you think?" Enryu nodded. Atsuka smiled, but then she looked at the long scratches that Enryu got from Kuma's claws. "Does that hurt?" She asked. The fire dragon shrugged.

"Berries!"
Atsuka looked up into the tree that they had fallen from. "Huh... I didn't think this was a berry tree... Doesn't look like any berry tree I've seen." After a moment's contemplation, the girl shrugged, picked up the berries and dropped them into her bag, before reaching for Enryu's pokeball.
"In you go, Enryu. I'll do all the foot work, seeing as you do the battle work." She smiled, and Enryu vanished into his ball.
Atsuka was about to put the pokeball in her bag, when she thought of something. "How do trainers know which pokemon is in which ball? They all look the same if they are the same kind of ball. Wouldn't that be embarrasing, to call for one pokemon but have the wrong ball?" She pondered this for a moment, before coming up with a fantastic idea. She rummaged in her bag for a permanent red marker, and drew a swishy symbol on the white part of Enryu's pokeball. Then, as the ink dried, she grabbed Kuma's ball and drew a different symbol on it. "Enryu, Kuma. Now I can tell you apart! Awesome sauce!" Then, she deposited the marker and both pokeballs, and headed down Route 1.

As Route 1 continued to work it's way through the forest one side opened up into a small open area. In that area several Pokemon were all going along their own business. One of these Pokemon was a Natu, which happily pecked at the ground looking for seeds to eat.

When Atsuka spotted the Natu and the other pokemon, her first thought was to toss Enryu at them and go on the attack. But then she thought, what for, really? Yes, Enryu could always use the experience, and he needed that if she wanted him to evolve (Which she did, so he could fly and wouldn't have to stay in the pokeball) But then, the pokemon all seemed to be quite alright doing what they were doing. So, instead, she bobbed down to her haunches and watched them, slowly crawling closer every minute or so.

The Pokemon continued on their business ignoring Atsuka except for the Natu. At seeing the trainer it hopped alittle forwards; curious at seeing the human.

Atsuka smiled at the Natu. "Hi!" She said softly, giving the pokemon a meek wave. "Good seeds around here?" She asked, grinning.
